Lincoln Land Community College’s Career Development Services strives to provide our students, as well as community members, with the resources necessary to prepare for and maintain suitable employment. Our career computer lab is equipped with software to help you create a professional resume and cover letter. Mock interviews and practice tests for state exams are available. If you are having trouble deciding on a career we have Career Cruising to help you explore hundreds of careers. Career Cruising even has videos of people who are actually doing the job and can tell you all about it! Sometimes the best way to get your foot in the door is to do an internship with that company. Check out the Cooperative Work Study program to find out about internships that pay a salary as well earning you college credit. You can even do an internship at Walt Disney World!
Career Development Services has grant programs to help finance your education or job search. Call for more information about the Food Stamp Employment and Training Program (FSE&T) or the Workforce Investment Act (WIA).
Career Development Services publishes a monthly newsletter called Job Opportunities Newsletter in PDF format. You can view the newsletter online or save it to your computer to view when you are offline. Additional job listings can be found at www.collegecentral.com/llcc and on our bulletin board just outside the Career Development Services office (we are located between Registration and Financial Aid). If you are an employer, you can post Job Openings with us free of charge!
If you have any questions, would like to post a job or would like to make an appointment, just call the Career Development Services Office at 217.786.2210.
