Although she was young, Kate Erlich, LLCC volleyball player, remembers going with her grandmother to chemotherapy treatments.  She also recalls her grandmother losing her hair.  Sadly, her grandmother passed away two years after she was diagnosed with breast cancer.  In addition to Kate, LLCC Volleyball Coach Jim Dietz and three other LLCC volleyball players have had a female family member experience breast cancer.

This is the second year that the LLCC volleyball team "goes pink" in support of breast cancer awareness.  The proceeds from the September 26, and October 26,2007 games went to support breast cancer support services at St. John's Hospital.
