The Higher Learning Commission is one of six institutional accrediting bodies recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. When evaluating credentials, employers and universities often look for applicants who earned their degree from an accredited college or university.
The college became a member of the HLC Open Pathway in 2018.

Council for Higher Education Accreditation
The Higher Learning Commission is recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
CHEA is an advocate for quality assurance and institutional accountability and transparency in higher education. To that end, it works actively to strengthen accreditation through recognition of 60 accrediting agencies. It is a membership organization of colleges and universities that share these goals.
