About SGA
The LLCC Student Government Association is the official governing council for the student body and provides recognition for all student clubs and organizations on campus. SGA’s mission is to provide effective and responsive student governance, advocate and represent student rights and responsibilities, promote clubs and their initiatives and enhance the relationship between students, campus and our community. In essence, SGA serves to lead, engage, advocate and promote (LEAP).

Interested in joining SGA?
Representative positions are filled by an application process that is ongoing from summer to mid-spring (or until all positions are filled). If there are open positions on the executive board after SGA elections, those also move to an application process. The following positions are currently vacant. Those interested in filling one of these roles should contact LLCC Student Life.

Eligible students are defined as those enrolled in at least six credit hours with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 for a representative position and 2.5 for an executive position (new students who have not yet established a GPA are eligible).
Student Trustee
During the general student elections held each spring, one student is elected to membership on the LLCC Board of Trustees. Student representation allows students to communicate their concerns and interests to the LLCC Board of Trustees. The student member of the board is also a member of the Student Government Association.
