LLCC offers the following certificate program to successfully equip you for a career in the trucking industry.
The program has a total of eight (four 2004, one 2016, one 2021, one 2022 and one 2024) Freightliner tractors with straight 10 speeds and 53' box trailers. Learn more about the program and what is covered in the four-week training.

Class A CDL Permit Fees
- If the student has a Class A CDL license or permit with all endorsements: $0.00
- If the student needs to add an endorsement to the Class A CDL or permit: $5.00
- If the student has a Class B CDL and is upgrading to a Class A CDL: $5.00
- If the student does not have a CDL and is upgrading to a Class A CDL: $50.00
Hazardous Materials Endorsement Requirements
- FBI fingerprinting and Transportation Security Administration (TSA) fee: $86.50*

Getting Started
The truck driver training program at LLCC uses a screening process to discuss the program, go over health history, background, vehicle driving record, funding assistance and employment opportunities.
The LLCC Truck Driver Training program application (link below) must be filled out before placement in a class (optional to complete before the appointment). Contact LLCC Truck Driver Training at 217-786-2565 to schedule an appointment. We will discuss all the policies of the program and place the student in the next available class. See class start dates listed below.
Location
From Interstate 55, take exit 90 at Toronto Road and go east. Follow Toronto Road until you come to the stoplight at the entrance to LLCC. Once you arrive on campus, make the first turn right. We are located straight ahead in the Workforce Careers Center. Enter the doors on far left (east) end of building. Our office is located immediately to the right through the double glass doors next to the stairs.
