Veterans Benefits

Lincoln Land Community College welcomes all of our enlisted personnel and veterans. We are here and dedicated to helping your experience be the best it can be.

Using your VA benefits

Please fill out the 2024-2025 LLCC Veterans Educational Benefits Enrollment Form, or 2025-2026 LLCC Veterans Educational Benefits Enrollment Form.

Review the steps for new students, returning students or transfer students (those who have used benefits at another school before transferring to LLCC).

Chapter 30, 31 and 33 beneficiaries will be charged in-district tuition regardless of residency status, pursuant to 110 ILCS 805/6-4.

Recruiting enlisted personnel and veterans

It is our commitment to you that LLCC will refrain from high-pressure recruitment tactics for the purpose of securing service member enrollments.

Readmission to LLCC after deployment

LLCC will readmit service members with the same academic status they had when last attending the college if a student’s military service was more than 30 consecutive days. The student will be readmitted into the program they were in at time of orders and will be charged tuition and fees at the rate the student was charged when they stopped attending. To take advantage of this, a student must return within three years of their deployment. The cumulative length of the absence and all previous absences from the college may not exceed five years.

Military service is defined as voluntary or involuntary service in the armed forces, including service by a member of the National Guard or Reserve on active duty, active duty for training or full-time National Guard duty under federal authority for a period of more than 30 consecutive days under a call or order to active duty of more than 30 consecutive days. This does not include National Guard service under state authority.

The college will admit service members who stopped attending due to military service with the same academic status:

  • To the same program to which the student was last admitted or, if that program is  no longer offered, the program that is most similar, unless the student chooses another program;
  • At the same enrollment status, unless the student wants to enroll at a different enrollment status;
  • With the same number of credit hours previously completed;
  • With the same academic standing the student previously had.
