Yes! Appointments are available both in-person and virtually through MS Teams.

Know that meeting with an academic success professional is not a replacement for studying or going to class.

  • Students are expected to show up on time and prepare for each scheduled appointment.
  • Homework assignments are to be completed by the student, NOT the professional.
  • Academic success professionals may not assist with take-home tests or assignments from other colleges.
  • Academic success professionals may not proofread writing assignments for grammar and/or punctuation errors.

Call the Center for Academic Success at 217-786-2396 or send an email to cas@llcc.edu at least 24 hours before the scheduled appointment time.

Avoid cancelling it on the day of the appointment if possible. If multiple same-day cancellations are accumulated, the student will not be allowed to schedule future appointments until they meet with the executive director.

If the student does not arrive for an appointment within the first 15 minutes of the scheduled time, and no call was made to notify the CAS of a delay or cancellation, a "no show" will be declared.

Students who accumulate multiple "no shows" will not be allowed to schedule future appointments until they meet with the executive director.
