See Tsai Chan is a member of the music faculty at Lincoln Land Community College and at Blackburn College. She received her Doctor of Musical Arts in organ performance from the Eastman School of Music at the University of Rochester and her Master of Music with the honor of Pi Kappa Lambda from Northwestern University with a double major in organ performance and choral conducting. Dr. Chan also received a postgraduate diploma in education from the Chinese University of Hong Kong and piano performer’s diploma from Trinity College of Music, London.
In addition to her recital work both in the United States and in Hong Kong, Dr. Chan has extensive experience teaching music and conducting choirs. She has conducted the Eastman Repertory Singers, Millar Chapel Choir of the Northwestern University, Chung Chi College Choir, Lincoln Land Community College Choir, UIS Chorus, Blackburn College Choir and Voices, Hong Kong Children’s Choir and St. Stephen’s Girls’ College Choir and Orchestra. Her conducting performances have been broadcast on BBC, Radio Hong Kong, Public Radio Rochester and New York as well as Shanghai National Television. She currently serves as director of traditional music at First United Methodist Church, Springfield.
