Business and industry need electricity and trained professionals to keep it running and safely maintained.

  • Practice, hands-on experience in commercial and industrial electrical systems.
  • Practice, hands-on experience in commercial and industrial electrical systems.
  • Gain hands-on experience in AC and DC circuits, AC industrial controls, electronic devices industrial wiring, circuits and mechatronics.
  • The versatile skills learned prepare students for careers in electrical and electronics repair, commercial and industrial equipment maintenance/repair, semiconductor processing or an electrician apprenticeship.

Info Session

Attend an upcoming information session to learn more and get on a path to a great career in commercial electrical maintenance! Events will be held at the Workforce Careers Center on LLCC's main campus in Springfield. Upcoming dates include: Wednesday, Dec. 4, 5:30-7:30 p.m.; Tuesday, Jan. 28, 9-11 a.m.; and Tuesday, Feb. 18, 5:30-7:30 p.m.

For fall 2024, spring 2025 and summer 2025, Fundamentals of Computer-Aided Drafting (CAD 151) has a tuition rate of $175 per credit hour for in-district residents. All other classes in the program have a standard in-district rate of $140 per credit hour. Get more information on tuition and fees.
