Lincoln Land Community College Continuing, Corporate and Professional Education and Todd Steinacher, agronomic coach, will offer a comprehensive Agronomy Journey Conference Jan. 23 and 24 at Kreher Agriculture Center on the LLCC campus, 5250 Shepherd Rd., Springfield.

The conference is designed with two days of classroom training (Jan. 23 and 24) and two days of field training (between July 31 and Aug. 8) with industry professionals.

Classroom training will include agronomy sales, ag-tech, grain marketing, crop insurance and financing. Field training will focus on how to go on service calls, conduct agronomic audits, speak at field days, profile corn hybrids and communicate the features and benefits. The program offers 12 CEUs for certified crop advisors (CCAs), and participants who are not CCAs will receive complimentary access to the CCA exam prep and digital materials.

The program will be taught by a variety of industry leaders, including Todd Steinacher, a Certified Crop Advisor and agronomy coach with 20 years of industry experience, including being named IL CCA of the Year and International CCA of the year. Steinacher is a former LLCC Agriculture alumni and former adjunct instructor who currently teaches LLCC’s CCA test prep class.

The cost for the conference is $1,500, which covers both classroom and hands-on field training dates. The deadline to register is Jan. 17, 2025. For more information and to register online, visit www.llcc.edu/agronomy-conference or email continuing.education@llcc.edu.
